“I whole heartedly recommend Randi as a post partum Doula. She is the MVP of my partum journey. Randi’s quiet tenacity helped me get through breastfeeding, which to me was one of the most difficult aspects of post partum life. Randi persevered along side me and supported me when everyone had dismissed my symptoms. She encouraged me to advocate for myself.
There is so much information and care about pregnancy and delivery. However once the baby comes, they send you home from the hospital without any knowledge or help. Despite having a full house and supportive family I felt alone. Getting a post partum Doula was one of the best decisions we made. And to get Randi was just the cherry on the cake.
Randi was a friend and a listening ear. Randi was a breast feeding/ formula feeding expert + advocate, without pressuring me to do either. She just supported me and my decisions. Randi taught us how to handle the baby, bathe her, calm/soothe her. Randi is excellent with dogs and taught our dog boundaries with the baby. Randi helped with household chores that kept overwhelming me. After the first couple of times, she’d come home and just pick up whatever needed help on her own without me having to ask her.
The best part about having Randi as part of our new family was that her solutions or answers were never boilerplate. She heard me/us and had a solution/suggestion that was tailored to our need and our ability to do things. Randi is very perceptive, which was extremely important to me when I wasn’t fully able to explain what I wanted. Magically she’d always understand. As a first time clueless mom I greatly appreciated that.
If you’re in the metro west and are contemplating having a post partum Doula. Don’t contemplate. Speak to Randi and get on her schedule.“
